An ivory plaque found in the Tartessian necropolis from Medellin (Badajoz, Spain), dated about 600 B.C., shows a hero with a Phygian helmet killing a bull. The iconography of this scene can be interpreted a Phoenician-Tartessian myth of «Melqart killing de Heaven's Bull», which could be a precedent of the well-known Greek myth of «Herakles and the Cretan Bull».
