Abstract: Roll of this Civil War unit organized at Favors Beat [now Coaling], Tusaloosa County, listing the names of officers and enlisted men.Scope and Content Note: The collection contains the company roll of the Thirty-Sixth Alabama Infantry, Company D, Adams' Co. of the Confederate States Army, organized in 1862. It lists the names of one hundred ten officers and enlisted soldiers.Biographical/Historical Note: The Thirty-sixth was organized at Mount Vernon Arsenal, Alabama, 12 May 1862. It remained there a month, then aided in the construction of the defences at Oven and Chocta Bluffs.
