The last of the eight remaining buildings, Mill 5, that were once a part of the historic Bates Mill, is about to be renovated and re-purposed for new uses. Auburn-based Platz Associates, an architectural, engineering and restructuring firm that has been involved in the redevelopment of the mill since 1997 is expected to do the renovation. Businesses within Maine and as far as the West coast have expressed interest in locating in the renovated space. [image
