The nonprofit organization Maine Winter Sports Center has changed its name to the Outdoor Sports Institute to reflect its new emphasis on promoting summer outdoor activities through-out the state rather than just winter sports. CEO and founder Alan Shepard explains that promoting winter sports helped boost local economies, and the new identity and reach is hoped cast a wider net into other communities and to do the same
