A proposed change to the nation\u27s overtime eligibility regulations could benefit 64,000 workers in Maine, however Senator Angus King is concerned that the salary threshold would be too much, too soon for many Maine employers; the proposal does not account for regional trends; and that the implementation timeline is too short. The Department of Labor sent the final rules to the White House\u27s Office of Management and Budget in March 2016 where Democrats hope they are approved quickly and Republicans have introduced legislation to block them
