Planners with the Portland Area Comprehensive Transportation Committee recently approved a $2.1 million project that would rebuild a 1.1-mile stretch of Riverside Street between Forest Avenue and Warren Avenue. The project would result in the construction of three lanes for cars, two bicycle lanes and a sidewalk for pedestrians, and is expected to receive final approval within a few months.
