Clifford Shattuck, the Lincolnville motel owner who settled a civil rights complaint over his treatment of two Israeli tourists in June, has filed suit against Waldo County Sheriff\u27s Department sergeant Gregory Stearns, who investigated the incident. Shattuck claims that Stearns\u27 comments to the news media were untrue and defamatory, and is seeking $125,000 in damages.
