Thomas Doe, 46, of Winterport, is the lead engineer on the $165 million Portland-South Portland Bridge construction project, the most complicated project ever undertaken by the Maine Department of Transportation. Construction began early this year, and will last at least until 1998. When completed the structure will be the largest drawbridge in the U.S., and will have more than a mile of roadway. Details
