The U.S. Court of Appeals last month ruled that Maine\u27s milk tax is unconstitutional, threatening the source of the state\u27s contribution to the federal Farmers\u27 Market Nutrition Program. The milk tax provided funds to the Women and Infant Children\u27s program, which helps provide fresh fruit and vegetables to nearly 10,000 low-income families in the state.
