The Finance Authority of Maine yesterday unanimously approved a $64 million loan to Central Maine Power Co. (CMP) so the utility can buy out the Fairfield Energy Venture plant in Fort Fairfield. The loan is $15 million less than CMP requested, with the additional financing to come from CMP. The utility will continue to operate the plant for three years
