Cumberland County Sheriff\u27s Department chief deputy Francis E. Amoroso, 54, of Standish, is resigning his position to take a job as conciliator with the U.S. Department of Justice, with his last day to be September 9. Amoroso will be replaced by Dewey A. Martin Jr., 47, of Portland, who now works for the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency. Martin was formerly Portland\u27s acting police chief. Details
