Scott Paper Co. yesterday announced plans to reduce the work force at its Winslow mill to 430 by the end of this year, a 17 percent reduction. The mill will also end production of paper towels for the consumer market in order to focus on commercial towel and tissue production from recycled fiber. Scott plans to eliminate nearly one-third of its workforce world wide, a reduction of 10,500 positions. Details
