A Cumberland County grand jury yesterday refused to indict Bill Crocker, 46, of Hartford, Conn., for manslaughter in the death of 11-year-old Heidi Tobiason of Yarmouth. Crocker fell asleep while driving a delivery truck on the Maine Turnpike on June 10, and smashed into the vehicle in which Tobiason was riding as it waited at the Falmouth tollbooth. Another grand jury in December refused to indict a Pennsylvania man who fell asleep while driving a tractor-trailer and caused an accident that took the lives of four Lisbon-area teens. Details
