Cumberland County Superior Court justice Roland A. Cole yesterday sentenced Pamela J. Elliott, 31, of Westbrook, to 10 years in prison for manslaughter in the death of her newborn infant. Cole suspended five years of the sentence, sentenced Elliott to six years of probation and ordered her to undergo psychological counseling. Elliott, who pleaded guilty to manslaughter earlier this month, told police she gave birth alone in her apartment in 1992, and after checking the baby and not finding a heartbeat wrapped the baby up.
