Cumberland County District Attorney Stephanie Anderson says that Maine\u27s mandatory arrest laws in domestic abuse cases would have subjected O.J. Simpson to stricter penalties than he received in California after pleading guilty to domestic abuse. Anderson cited two tough jail sentences handed out in district court last week as proof that her office is tough on those charged with domestic abuse.
