Phil Tarr, chairman of the Maine Racing Commission, said the commission will continue an investigation into betting patterns at Scarborough Downs, despite assurances that all debts have been paid. The track on June 12 handled more than $1 million in bets, in excess of twice the previous record handle, resulting in a debt of $536,147.19 in off-track bets. Eight tracks were involved nationally, with Hollywood Park of Inglewood, Calif., owed $423,118.93. Details
