With 85 percent of the precincts reporting in the First Congressional District, state Senate President Dennis Dutremble of Biddeford has emerged as the winner in the Democratic primary and will face James B. Longley Jr., who won the Repubican primary. As of last evening, Dutremble had 35 percent of the vote, followed by Bonnie Titcomb of Casco with 22 percent; Bill Diamond of Windham, also with 22 percent; and William Troubh of Portland, who received twenty-one percent of the vote.
