Paula Craighead, a member of the Portland School Committee, has won the Democratic primary nomination for Maine Senate District 27 seat. She beat her opponent, John F. McDonough, by a vote of 2,703 to 1,937. The newly redrawn district includes Falmouth, Long Island and the northern half of Portland. Her Republican opponent in the November elections will be I. Joel Abromson, the husband of former Portland mayor Linda Abromson. Details
