William C. Murphy, a Lewiston insurance agent and former business associate of James B. Longley Jr., says Longley failed to repay a $10,000 loan made in 1989. Murphy says he loaned Longley the money to pay off some debts, but Longley said he received the money as advance payment for insurance work he was doing for Murphy. Longley is a Republican candidate for the 1st District congressional seat. Details
