Maine Democrats are holding their state convention this weekend, and for many the most important matter will be a vote on Sunday on whether to overturn a 1992 party rule that would scrap traditional party caucuses in favor of a presidential primary. In addition, the convention will hear from the five gubernatorial candidates; U.S. represenative Thomas H. Andrews, who is running for the Senate seat being vacated by Sen. George J. Mitchell; Mitchell himself; and the numerous candidates for the 1st District and 2nd District congressional seats. Details
