The state Legislature last night approved an education-funding plan that gives districts expecting increases next year only 60 percent of what they are supposed to get so districts having their funding cut will see only 40 percent of the cuts they were meant to sustain. The proposal requires $7 million in supplemental funding, meaning $3 million will have to be located to add to the $4 million already allocated. Details
