The Maine Department of Environmental Protection is working with the Natural Resources Council of Maine to push for a program that would offer rebates to car buyers purchasing low-polluting fuel-efficient vehicles. Sen. John Cleveland, D-Auburn, plans to introduce a bill that would provide the largest rebates for alternative energy and innovative technology vehicles. Details
