Cumberland County District Attorney Stephanie Anderson has denounced Governor John McKernan\u27s proposal to cut at least $1.5 million from the Attorney General\u27s 1994 budget, a third of which is used to pay district attorneys. She notes that the district attorneys are paid an average of only $31,390 a year and carry a caseload averaging more than 4,500 per lawyer. She fears losing experienced members of her staff.
