Senators George Mitchell and William Cohen, responding to what they say is a flood of low-priced potatoes coming into the country, have asked U.S. Agriculture Secretary Mike Espy to impose a temporary duty on potatoes imported from Canada. The duty would amount to around 35 cents per 100 pounds of Canadian potatoes
