The Legislature\u27s Judiciary Committee has delayed until next year action on the so-called Prager bill, which would prevent convicted felons from becoming lawyers. The bill was filed in response to the appointment of convicted drug smuggler Harvey Prager as a clerk to the Maine Supreme Judicial Court, and was postponed because the committee didn\u27t have time for a public hearing
