Article on Michael James,an inmate of the Maine State Prison\u27s Supermax maximum-security solitary confinement unit. Last month James was found not criminally responsible by reason of insanity of assaulting guards. Superior Court Justice Donald Marden ordered James into the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to be placed in the state\u27s Riverview Psychiatric Center in Augusta.
