This Just In piece on Peter Bass, owner of the Portland-based development company Random Orbit, who is proposing a progressive housing development he says will solve some of Portland\u27s housing problems. The project, planned for the corner of Danforth and High Streets, calls for a 27-unit building which will include a communal guest room, lounge, roof deck, laundry, and two shared cars. Up to 13 additional parking spaces will be sold separately. The units, ranging in price from $125,000 to $185,000, are targeted to young professionals who want to be in the middle of the city and be able to walk to everything. Bass calls the proposal a big experiment
