A trapper in Aurora shot an animal suspected to be a wolf. The carcass of the 81-pound male is currently undergoing DNA testing in Oregon. The Maine Wolf Coalition and Restore: The North Woods say the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife isn\u27t doing enough to protect the wolves that may already be present in the state. A recent report by Dan Harrison, a biologist at the University of Maine at Orono, identifies Maine as the most likely place in New England for wolf packs to survive. Details
