Cover Story piece on Ligature.com, the brainchild of Richard Anderson, a mid-50s entrepreneur in Camden who says he has created the fourth media. Anderson plans to create a world-wide network of Community Internet Stations (CIS) , a concept that combines elements of the three traditional media with the Internet\u27s interactivity. On the Ligature site, in addtion to reading news and opinion pieces, a user can also order products, publish a letter or column, and even do online banking. Anderson hopes to sell the software and the CIS strategy to licensees in communities around the world. And former U.S. represenative David Emery has joined the firm and will head up its marketing department. Anderson, who said his new company\u27s wealth will come from a world-wide web of stations, says they\u27re having active discussions now with parties in Wyoming and California.
