Details on last week\u27s public hearing in Machias on the proposal to list the Atlantic salmon on the federal Endangered Species Act. Restore: the North Woods petitioned the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service almost one year ago to list wild salmon as a Category II species in the Ducktrap, Sheepscot, Dennys, East Machias and Machias rivers. Restore spoke in favor of the listing, but there was little support for the proposal from local speakers
