Angus King\u27s five cent gas tax proposal, but the coalition wants the Legislature to dedicate 1/7 of a cent of the nickel tax increase for paving road shoulders. According to the coalition, there are 900,000 bicycles in Maine and board member Harry Faust said, if King\u27s estimate is right, 1/7 of a penny could raise $1 million a year for paving shoulders
