Second Story piece on the University of Maine School of Law\u27s Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic in Portland, which opened 30 years ago. The clinic offers high-quality, free legal services to the poor; inspires law students to support public service in their work; and provides hands-on, in-the-courts training and experience for law students. The clinic is funded largely through tuition dollars, but also receives support from the Maine Bar Foundation and Maine Civil Legal Services. Director Scott Gould said the clinic, which is staffed by final-year law students, serves Androscoggin, Cumberland, Sagadahoc and York counties
