Norumbega Medical Specialists of Bangor, formerly a traditional doctors\u27 practice, is now an affiliate of Eastern Maine Healthcare, the parent of Eastern Maine Medical Center. Norumbega was prompted to affiliate with EMS by the new world of managed care, and is just one of many doctors\u27 practices in Maine that have become subsidiaries or otherwise affiliated with hospitals.
