News piece on the 2002-2001 Hay Project, a year-long, fourth-grade class on haying and Maine farming in the early years of this century. The main feature is poetry written and read by the students. Classes take place on 55 acres of the Besse farm in Wayne owned by the Kennebec Land Trust. The project is funded with a grant from the Wayne-based Helen and George Ladd Charitable Organization
