The Maine Legislature this month passed a bill rescinding the federal minimum wage hike scheduled for October 1 for tipped employees, but Gov. King pocket-vetoed the measure. Twenty-nine Democrats in the Maine House endorsed the measure, and three Democrats in the Maine Senate voted for it. State representative Pamela Hatch, D-Skowhegan, House chair of the Legislature\u27s Labor Committee, said there are certain Democrats who view things differently than the average Democrat or blue-collar worker.
