On January 5, a group of 250 individuals from the greater Waterville area convened for three days to formulate initiatives centered on economic development for the fiscally troubled city. Jennifer Logan of the Center for Consensual Democracy of Woolwich is assisting the Waterville project, called REM. Founder Faye Nicholson organized REM as a citizen campaign, and the project\u27s top priorities are to develop a vibrant economy, encourage excellence in education and to protect a physically and psychologically safe environment.
