The boat can carry 1,200 pounds, and has room for four people. The boat, which is being produced in a shop just off Route 1 in Damariscotta, is the idea of Dick Vermeulen of Jefferson, who worked with Dick Newick, a leading hull-designer, and others to perfect the design
