An article on Borestone Mountain Wildlife Sanctuary, the largest and least-known nature preserve owned by Maine Audubon. A mature forest surrounded by paper company lands, it stretches across a mountainside just south of Greenville and gets only about 7,000 visitors a year. With a history of the property and a giant log manse that was built by Robert T. Moore there as a summer home. The property was bequeathed to the National Audubon Society upon Moore\u27s death in 1958
