Profile of Portland artist David A. Marshall, who paints brightly-colored urban landscapes, still lifes, and portraits, in a style he calls neon classicism. Marshall, a graduate of the University of Southern Maine, works with the Service Works Program of Portland West. He works with at-risk teenagers who have been ordered to do community service. With a grant from the Maine Arts Commission, Marshall and his young teams will create large-scale outdoor murals in areas particularly vandalized by graffiti
