The Crossroads International Celtic Festival, to be held in September, is the brainchild of Phill McIntyre. McIntyre hopes to tap into the burgeoning interest in cultural heritage tourism to develop two western Maine counties – Franklin and Oxford – into tourist destinations. The festival is modeled after the Celtic Colours International Festival in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, and organizers of both festivals are cooperating to help promote both events
