Business Maine: Southern piece reporting that the Portland City Council voted 8-1 to support spending $9.6 million to purchase the former Portland Public Market building as the new home of the Portland Public Library. The city\u27s voters will vote on the issue in June. The plan to move into the market building is a change from the library\u27s previous proposal to spend $8.5 million to renovate its current location
