Business Maine: Central & Western piece reporting Texas-based SAS Shoemakers will close its Pittsfield plant by the end of the summer, leaving 145 people without jobs. The company said decreasing demand for the penny loafers and other kinds of shoes made there prompted the company\u27s decision. But in other Pittsfield news, Global Contact Services of North Carolina said it would open a call center there and create at least 200 jobs by the end of March
