In the 1970s Singh profited from federal historic dDistrict renovation incentives and restored apartment houses, condominiums, and markets, as well as an elegant inn in Cape Elizabeth. He made New York Times headlines in 1986 when he developed the most valuable property in Key West, Florida. Although changes in the tax laws and real estate markets dropped the bottom out of his investments by 1993, he has rebuilt his development empire with deluxe resorts in Florida and Alaska
