Business Maine: Midcoast & Downeast piece on Richmond-based Shucks Maine Lobster, which recently signed a $5 million deal with Paris, France-based Elafood to distribute Maine lobster in Europe. The company uses new technology to extract, pack and freeze raw lobster meat. Shucks Maine Lobster began operations in April and is the third lobster processing facility in the state. It is the first in the country to distribute frozen, raw lobster meat, positioning Maine to gain more of the lobster processing market now dominated by Canada
