Since 1959, the Lincoln Canoe and Kayak company in Freeport has earned a reputation for its handmade boats. Concerned about the feasibility and limitations of continuing with handmade production, current co-owner Marc Bourgoin reached out to an Arundel-based boatbuilding institution called The Landing School to form a partnership. This year Lincoln Canoe and Kayak supplied all the materials and customer base and the students utilized the school\u27s technology to revamp two of Lincoln\u27s existing molds as well as producing a new kayak model called the Seguin.
