City piece on the Portland Public Market\u27s director, Ted Spitzer, who also runs Farm to Market Inc. (FTM), a nonprofit agency that provides employees to Maine\u27s Pantry, a for-profit business in the Public Market owned by Spitzer\u27s wife, Elena Morrow-Spitzer. According to Spitzer, Maine\u27s Pantry leases the workers from FTM, reimbursing the nonprofit for the workers\u27 pay. The major advantage of hiring FTM employees, he said, is the ability to offer those workers FTM\u27s health benefits and an IRA retirement account
