Profiles of painter Anne Harris and her photographer husband, Paul D\u27Amato, who live in South Portland with their 3-year-old son, Max. D\u27Amato, a recipient of many grants and prizes including a Guggenheim fellowship, is a professor at the Maine College of Art (MECA). Harris, who has also received considerable grant money and a Guggenheim fellowship, also taught at MECA when it was the Portland School of Art, as well as at Boston University and Bowdoin College. She has sold out two one-woman shows at Boston\u27s Nielsen Gallery, and is represented at the DC Moore gallery in New York. Just out of graduate school, Harris sold a painting for $2,500. Now the price for a large canvas is up to $16,000, which is split with her gallery. ...
