Edge piece about the of sense of joy and empowerment experienced by the disabled because of Riding to the Top (RTT), a therapeutic horse riding program that was founded in Windham in 1993 by Patty Carton and Sarah Bronson. RTT serves more than 75 riders in Greater Portland, ranging in age from 3-70. The program has been found to benefit a wide range of people suffering from such diverse disabilities as multiple sclerosis, Down\u27s syndrome, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophhy, autism, spina bifida, polio, limb deformities, amputations, hearing and speach disorders, and more
