Dennis Snyder, 42, a divorced father, feels that Maine\u27s judicial system is grossly biased against fathers and denies them their civil rights. Snyder and Brad Klein formed the Committee for Responsible Parenting, an advocacy group for fathers based in South Portland. The Coalition for Parental Equity, founded by Paul Ouellette and based in Portland, and Fathers United for Equal Justice, a New Hampshire group that recently established a Portland chapter, are two other groups organizing fathers to fight for their rights. Some fathers believe that they are being unfairly treated regarding such issues as child support and visitation rights. Details
