The Federal Trade Commission on March 13 announced its approval of a merger of Maine Medical Center and Brighton Medical Center. The Maine Medical Center Foundation, a new nonprofit corporation, will oversee the two hospitals, which will retain their names and locations. One drawback of the merger is it will limit choice
